Guide To Giving Feedback - Please Read! « Result #2 on Mar 28, 2007, 7:52am »
The whole point of giving feedback is to express your positive and negative thoughts on an artwork. The positive comments will act as compliments, while the negative will help the artist see their mistakes.
When mistakes are pointed out, we often don't know how to say it constructively and in the end we tend to skip the negative all together. This is a big no-no!! Pointing out mistakes and offering solutions (if you know them) can help an artist improve their techniques.
If you have received the ultimate critique, don't worry; it is not directed at you as a person. Do not take it as a personal attack - rather see it as a helpful learning tool!
The following simple structure can help you to give better and more constructive feedback.
Interpretation - How does the image make you feel, what does it say to you, how do you relate to the image.
Compliments - Build the artists confidence by telling them exactly what you like about the artwork. Why do you love it? What caught your eye?
Critique - Find something that might help the artist with his or her future work. Or find something that can be easily changed. It is okay to point out what you view as errors even if you do not know the artistic term for it. Just remember to be polite!!
Questions - Learn from other artists. Is there something in the artwork that you don’t know how it was achieved? Don't be afraid to ask about it! This expresses a genuine interest and can help you learn new techniques.

Uploading Images/Icons using ImageShack « Result #7 on Jun 5, 2006, 9:31am »
Here is a brief guide that will help you to upload your images/icons to ImageShack. Please read it carefully
To upload a large image
Start off by uploading one of your images.
Once you've done that ImageShack will show you a variety of codes you can use. Click on the "Thumbnail for forums (1)". You only need to click in the box, ImageShack selects the code for you, right click on the selected code, choose copy and then go to the post you are creating here at CI and paste the code. You should hopefully (if you done it correctly) see something similar to code below:
Once again you will see a variety of codes to choose from... although not quite as many this time. Choose the "Hotlink for forums (1)", copy and paste it into your forum post. The code you see should be something similar to the one below:

Re: Forum Banners & Buttons « Result #8 on Jun 4, 2006, 10:29pm »
Does anyone know of anywhere we would do some promoting for Creative Imagery? It'd be nice if we could get some more members but I don't want to do any unnecessary spamming.
So if you know of anywhere or are a member someplace... a group or another forum, please use one of the above banners to do some promoting.

Re: Avatars/Icons « Result #10 on Jun 2, 2006, 2:31am »
I think 65x65 is default or something. Same thing happened to me, and I thought 'gosh I sure could've softened that image a little', and then realised it was smaller than the icon size. I think if you don't specify 100x100 you get a tiny little thing.
